Gender determination

Hi,

I'm 14 weeks pregnant now and went for a prenatal scan yesterday to find out the gender. She said it's clearly a girl. You could tell by the two lines. But now I'm still doubting. I'm hearing and reading that 14 weeks is really still early to determine the gender, and that it can still change. Now I'm also reading that a girl has three lines? Should I wait another 6 weeks before shopping and painting, or can I trust it already?

You could also take a look at neutral clothes first if you're not sure, it's hard to tell. Or you buy rompers first, they're worn under clothes anyway, so they don't have to be special. You can also start looking for a crib, etc. In short, there are plenty of things you can buy in the next 6 weeks without specifically looking for boy or girl items.
