Gender determination

Hi,

I'm 14 weeks pregnant now and went for a prenatal scan yesterday to find out the gender. She said it's clearly a girl. She could tell by two lines. But now I'm still doubting. I'm hearing and reading that 14 weeks is really still early to determine the gender, and that it can still change. Now I'm also reading that a girl has three lines? Should I wait another 6 weeks before shopping and painting? Or can I already trust it?

We’re going to have a NIPT test done; you can’t get any more certain (about other things they test for with it either), and it can be done from 10 weeks onwards.

I'd wait until the 20-week scan, then you'll know for sure. Then the baby will be a bit bigger.
