    Melody feels a bit close to Melanie to me. My niece is named Melanie, but that’s exactly why we didn’t choose Melody – because it sounds too similar to my niece’s name. It’s a tough question though I’d actually just go with Melanie. It’s too lovely to change, and it’s still a beautiful name. If you want something that sounds similar, that’s an option.
