not planned but still so deeply wanted

Hi ladies,

I got pregnant while on the pill, weird but true! I haven't been sick, taken antibiotics, or any other medication that could affect the pill.

Now, during the first few weeks before I knew I was pregnant (I only found out at 10 weeks), I had a few heavy falls and even went to amusement parks on rides, etc. Even though the ultrasounds keep showing a very active baby, I'm still worried. Is that weird?

Right after finding out I was pregnant, I got all the recommended vitamins and supplements you're usually supposed to take before trying to conceive.

Am I just overprotective? My desire for a child has been huge for years, and unfortunately, in the past, a relationship ended because my partner changed his mind after 4 months of trying and broke up with me.

I want to do everything right for mini-me, but I still have doubts.

One thing I'm still really struggling with is quitting smoking. I've cut down a lot, but I haven't managed to quit completely yet.

Sigh...

hey hey i get your concern but i once read online that roller coasters don't matter.. But i'm not sure for sure of course.
I myself smoked less in the first round, down to 4/5 per day, but it got harder and harder! So when I got my period in round two, I quit smoking.. This is unbelievable but I didn't have any trouble with it at all, now I've been smoke-free for five weeks and I'm very happy! I'd rather quit smoking now (yes, I wanted to quit like that when I'm pregnant) than take extra long to get pregnant because I smoke.. Ps I used to smoke easily 13 a day

Don't worry too much as long as the little one is still quite active. The placenta only takes over the function of the yolk sac completely after about 10 to 12 weeks. Until then, the yolk sac provides most of what the baby needs, and it's not connected to your system. Quitting smoking is important and better for your little one, but it can also cause stress, which isn't good for the baby either. So do it in a way that feels comfortable for you. You could seek help from your GP or a smoking cessation clinic if needed. Roller coasters etc. aren't dangerous this early in pregnancy; the baby is still safely tucked behind your pubic bone, so you won't be crushed by the safety bars holding you in the seat.

Our first one also came through the pill completely. Had a cozy Christmas, New Year's dinner with friends. So that period, quite a bit of drinking. Turns out I was already six months pregnant.
    Hello.. oops!
    Everything healthy, luckily.
You really have to do strange things for a child not to be healthy. Apart from hereditary conditions etc.
Structural alcohol abuse and roller coasters, I'd leave those alone.

The little rascal is now half a year old. He's doing great No physical issues. Back then, I posted this message anonymously.
