@flora I'm a bit more than a week overdue, which is why I've got a faint line on my test now. I'll test again in a few days, hopefully it'll be darker then...

Oh Lisa, that's so nice! Yeah, probably your body doesn't produce the hcg hormone that quickly! Enjoy it, anyway, a week overdue and one line is one line!

Yeah, I think so.. it varies from person to person, I guess! But one strike is one strike..

With an average cycle of 32 days, I lost a little blood on day 33.. For the next four days there was some brown discharge but it didn't continue.. On day 38 I did a cheap test and there was a very faint line.. On day 39 morning, another very faint line.. So I bought a more sensitive test and then there was a clear line!! It was lighter than the control line though.. I'm so happy! And I can't tell my husband yet because he's away for work and unreachable.. Tomorrow I'm going to visit him, coincidentally at the place where we met.. and then I'm going to tell him the good news ????

Thank you all! Two years ago I had issues with a protruding cervical mucus plug, which caused me to bleed quickly during intercourse and between my periods. Now, on Sept 29, I saw a faint line on my pregnancy test. The next day I did a more sensitive test, and it was positive. On Saturday, Oct 1, I had to do some big shopping, and then I had a lot of bleeding, but it only lasted 10 minutes and then stopped. So I assumed it was a burst blood vessel in my cervix. On Monday, Oct 3, I had bleeding again during intercourse. On Tuesday I went to my GP, who referred me directly to a gynecologist. The ultrasound showed a thickened uterine wall and a small cavity of about 1 cm. I had blood drawn and need to have it drawn again next week to check if my hCG is rising properly. She gave me a 50% chance of pregnancy. Today, Oct 5, I took the same test I took first, which was so unclear, and it was mega positive. If I had miscarried on Saturday, wouldn't my hCG have dropped instead of rising so much? I really feel like everything is still okay and the bleeding is coming from my cervix... Has anyone experienced this?

No experience with it, but what a tension for you! I hope everything is okay, follow your gut feeling.

I also got a faint line, but it was visible to everyone without needing to hold it in the light or anything. I tested the next day and it was negative. What should I make of that?

Normally, the level of hCG in your urine increases very quickly, so the line should normally get darker and darker. I hope not for you, Claudia, but this doesn't look like a good sign to me.

Lola here.. Tuesday had blood drawn again and hcg went from 685 to almost 10,000.. ultrasound showed a gestational sac and early embryonic development now only 5 weeks pregnant instead of 7 as I thought based on my last period.. another ultrasound in 4 weeks and hopefully we'll see a heartbeat then
