Hi ladies.. I just want to share my story and see if anyone has experienced something similar..
I've been trying to get pregnant with my boyfriend for a while now but it's not really happening..
I have irregular periods and my boyfriend did a test to see if his sperm is good enough and it turned out it's not really; he's not really fertile.
The doctor says that if I'm not pregnant in 4 weeks, she'll refer us to the gynecologist but I have no idea what to expect.
I also got pregnant a few years ago but unfortunately it was just a gestational sac and last year I had an abortion because I wasn't ready yet since I was still studying and had just gotten my new little place and the guy who was the father of the baby didn't want the kid at all and was strongly against me keeping it and didn't want me to keep it at all so I decided to get rid of the baby.. And now I'm trying to get pregnant with my boyfriend whom I love very much and I have everything in order now and am ready to become a mother..
I hope for nice replies from you all, good luck with the pregnancy in advance ladies

Beertje25, you two should really decide for yourselves whether you're both ready to go for it 100% when the time comes.
Personally, I think it's quite soon to start having kids after barely a year together... (but everyone has their own opinion, and you'll feel what's best for you)

Have you tried ovulation tests yet? That way, at least you know you're trying on the right days

    Hey everyone...
Yeah, indeed we feel like we're ready and that's why we want to just go for it.. Yeah, I was with my ex for 8 years, so whether you've been together for 8 years or a year, you just feel it and you see if it's the right person you want to do it with.. And that's with my boyfriend.. Yeah, I've also tried with ovulation, they're usually negative and that gives me my doubts while I do get irregular anxiety, so I don't understand any of it anymore

What tests do you use? I used the Clear Blue ones, and they always only showed 1 day even though the instructions said it should show 2 days, but we did manage it

I had the same problem, irregular periods and my husband has slightly reduced fertility. We got pregnant with the help of a gynecologist. With me, they did an internal ultrasound to check if I had eggs, and I had plenty. A blood test was done to see if they could find anything there, but nothing special. My husband had a sperm test; he had good sperm cells but not as many as the average man. We were told that it could still happen naturally, but it would be difficult. The suggestion was IUI. I got pills to ripen an egg, and they monitored when the egg was ready to release using internal ultrasounds. When it was time, I had to inject another medication to make the egg release. My husband had to provide a sample of his sperm, and the best ones were selected and then placed into my uterus, so you basically create the best conditions, and the rest is up to nature. After 4 attempts, we were pregnant. After 6, they would have moved on to IVF, but that wasn’t necessary. So that’s a bit of an idea of how it works, but it really depends on what the gynecologist thinks is best for your situation.

    Hi everyone,

I'm using the Action and Kruidvat store brands. So I don't know which one is better. I took an ovulation test yesterday, and one was positive but the other wasn't, so I have no idea what's going on. I guess I'll just wait and see.

    hey anonymous

That must have been intense, right?
    Glad it worked out..

I'll wait to see what the gynecologist thinks is best for us.

And maybe it'll still work out in time.

    X
