First IUI attempt

My partner and I have been trying to get pregnant for 3.5 years. We've had all the tests, had laparoscopy, and nothing was wrong with me or my partner. On August 22nd, we had our first IUI attempt. Unfortunately, I had light bleeding on Saturday, and on Sunday and today, very light brown discharge. No period symptoms. Today, one day late, and I took a test this afternoon, which was unfortunately negative. You can really drive yourself crazy, and it's such an anxious time.
Has anyone here experienced this too?

    I had 4 IUI attempts before I got pregnant. It was always so nerve-wracking, and with every little thing in my tummy, I thought, could it be a success? And I kept staring every time I went to the toilet to see if I saw any blood. Good luck, I hope it works out soon!

    Thank you for your reply. It's nice to hear that there are success stories out there. I haven't gotten my period today either, but I'm trying to let go because otherwise I'll keep obsessing over it. I'd rather either get my period right away or get a positive test, because then I'll know where I stand. Have you been in the same boat?
