Induce labor or go overdue

Hi,

Hope I posted this in the right section.
I'm facing a dilemma. I stopped the pill over 7 months ago and kept good track of my cycle. 25-25-28-26-25-28, not super regular but no huge differences.
So now I haven't gotten my period. I was basing it on my longest cycle + 1 day (so 30 days), but I'm already 9 days late. I've done 3 tests by now and they're all negative.
Could this still be due to coming off the pill, meaning a longer cycle, or am I really late? I have very sore breasts and nipples (something I've never had with a normal period before), a bloated stomach, lots of white discharge, and I'm getting tired a bit faster.
How long should I wait to test again? Just wait until I'm 25/28 days late and maybe missed a cycle, or test in a few days in case of low hcg levels?

Hi sweetheart, that's so frustrating with the uncertainty. It's tough when things suddenly change, but there's no way to give a definite answer. Basically, anything can happen as long as you're not bleeding! Did you feel your ovulation? Do you normally have white discharge around your period? It varies from woman to woman, and I've also had a weird cycle here and there. Hope you're lucky this time!

    Hi hi.

I have exactly the same as you. Isn't this annoying? I'm also 2 weeks overdue. And indeed testing negative.

I think I'll wait another week before I really test.

When are you going to test again?

Ellie, lucky for me I'm not the only one here
I'll go test again on Sunday, this time with a digital test from CB, because I get sick from those vague lines that might not even be there. When are you testing again?
Vivian, I do get white discharge around my period more often, but not as much as now. The day before yesterday, while walking, I thought I was getting my period, felt it getting wet. Turns out it was white sticky discharge. I never have painful or swollen breasts around my period, but now I really do. My bras are starting to feel tight.

I don’t think I felt my ovulation, and I have to admit I wasn’t really paying attention (stupid, right). I don’t recall noticing anything specific either, no implantation symptoms either.

Ellie, you too have atypical 'symptoms'? Why do you think the test will eventually have to show positive? I'm getting less and less the feeling that I should get my period, which is why I'm also doubting the test result. But maybe, just like Vivian said, it's a weird cycle.

    Hi hi,
I have no idea why that should be positive. I do have a different feeling in my body, but honestly, nothing more than that.

I also read that you really can't skip your period. Unless you didn't release an egg or something else is going on.
But I did pay attention to my mucus again, and I knew when my ovulation was.
And we did have some fun, but for now I'm still really unsure. I also don't feel like I should be getting my period right now... I think I'll call the doctor on Monday. I'll be 16 days late and on day 46 after my last period. Normally it's 31 days.
I also read that your body can really play tricks on you, so I'm honestly not daring to hope for anything.

    Hi both,
My cycle was this time up to about 46 days (so about 2 weeks late), then I got brown discharge, combined with some blood. This was present in a light amount for a week (until today) in my underwear and when wiping. I assume this is my period but have never had it like this before (stopped the pill a few years ago and never had this happen before).
I haven't done a test for 1.5 weeks now, but before that I did several.
By the way, I also had symptoms like sensitive nipples, firmer breasts, and some nausea. However, these have gone away again since I started having the above symptoms.
We expect to get my period normally again next month, but it does make you feel uncertain.

Oh my, girls, such an irregular cycle is so tricky! Have you always had this? The tricky part is that period symptoms can feel just like pregnancy. I really don't envy you guys! Hope you get a positive test soon!

I usually get that white, sticky discharge after ovulation, and now too. Some does leak out, but a pantyliner is enough. Hopefully, this cycle was the one!

I'm in the same boat as you guys. I do have blue veins on my breasts, bumps around my areolas, dizziness, white discharge on my period days, hot flashes... And a negative test.. ? I don't know what to make of it anymore.

Do you know more yet? Or have you already tested?
