Which spelling: Emi, Emy, Amy?

We like the sound of this name but want a Dutch name. Is Emi nice then? I get the impression that people find this weird while Evi is well-established and it looks a lot like that.. Help!

I get you I've thought about it too. I think Emi looks nice, not weird since you also have Evi. People might spell it as Amy, but if you correct them once, they'll know.

I personally think Amy looks nicer.
I find Emi looks a bit pitiful, I don't know why, it's just a feeling.
But I think Emy is even better.

My opinion: Emi is Amy for Dutch people who can't spell (like Remon instead of Raymond).
I'd just go for Amy or maybe Emmy?

Thanks so far for your opinions!

@zomaar: I also think Emmy is nice, but it's a completely different name.

Amy is by far the most beautiful spelling.

Emmy is indeed a different type of name, a classic.

Or maybe Emilia, shortened to Emi?

But if you think Emi is beautiful, just go for it!

Thanks for the tip, but we don't want a longer name that we then shorten. But I think we'll actually go for the 'safe' option, i.e., Amy. I think it looks nice too, but it's a shame that it doesn't have any Dutch elements then.
