Sem, Jake, Xem, or Logan

Our son will be born in December, and since we're still really torn on the names, I'd love to see which ones people like best? We're looking for a short, international, and tough name.

    I've always really liked Sem, unfortunately a lot of kids in my area are called that, so I won't be able to use the name

    Thanks, that's also my only downside with the name! It's in the top 20, so it's chosen very often.

    My order would be:

    1) Sem (definitely popular, but that's not without reason. Nice, smooth, tough name).
    2) Jake (but a bit American)
    3) Xem (hard to pronounce. Looks better on paper than spoken)
    4) Logan (I find it a bit feminine)

    I think Sem is the nicest! I wouldn't let the fact that the name is very common put me off.
    I think Jake is okay, but I like Jack or James better.
    I don't think Xem and Logan are beautiful.

    Thanks for your tips and advice! It's no wonder Sem is at the top of the top 20. For now, I don't know any boys in the area with that name. Jake also sounds pretty cool and you hardly hear it at all.

    Jack unfortunately belongs to a cousin of ours. Senn sounds nice to me, but on paper Sem looks better.
