    You are a little miracle,
    but big to me.
    Take my hand,
and together we'll explore the world.

    @ Linda,

I'd say choose... Or write it yourself...
The words that apply to you, how you feel or have felt.
I'm pregnant for the third time now together, the first 2 times as a single mom, I know how lonely it feels. I wish I had had a computer back then, I would definitely have sat on a site like this. Linda, for all your questions an answer, kind women with a heartfelt word to each other. Don't be afraid Linda, the one true love will appear for you too later. First, enjoy your little miracle... Do you already know what you're having....
    We're having a boy.
    Love Ju

    'Your little hand in mine
that's how we go hand in hand
My big hand, your small one
    an unbreakable bond'

I've been looking forward to you for so long,
After many tears, I'm now celebrating,
And when I see you lying in your crib,
I know it was all worth it.

    Admiration, wonder,
    helpless and small
    how intensely happy I am
    to be your mama

    Your crying voice
    is the most beautiful song
    meant only for my ears
    your cheeks are so soft
    you have power over me
    you've enchanted my heart
    and conquered my soul

    Months,
    Tangible, precious
    And now you're here
Now you can see the world
    It's not always beautiful maybe
    See, hear and enjoy
    Laughing, feeling, also sadness
    Love, warmth and sometimes pain
    But whatever may happen
I will always be there for you!

These are self-written. Maybe you'll get a little inspiration.
But on the internet you can often find really beautiful ones too. Just do a little searching for something with meaning. Good luck!!

    May my little one...

    Be blessed
    with all the love
    that can be received.

    All dreams
    a heart
    can contain.

    And the happiest life
    a child can live!

    Seek the sunny side child,
play where the light can touch you.
You were expected and are loved,
carried in the warmth of your childhood.

    Seek the moonlit side child,
    and let us dance together
    in the sparkle,
    that never ceases to exist.

    Seek the flower side child
    and let us two together,
    walk hand in hand
in the sea of flowers of your existence.

    Seek the God-side child
    and let Him cherish you,
in the palm of His hand,
where He will never leave you!!

I think this is super! and very fitting. Well, he's been gone for a little while now, and that's actually a good thing because he already caused me five months of stress. I'm six months pregnant now, so you can imagine. Despite my sadness, I'm trying to put everything in order and enjoy myself. But the birth cards were already chosen and the poem too, now I want everything different since I'll be the one paying for them anyway. And I'm having a boy!

    @Linda,

I get so emotional reading this, girl. This isn't how it should be, but men can sometimes be so immature and just want to push their own agenda. It's often about nothing... I also did my first 2 pregnancies alone, no man or family to share things with.. No internet yet to be on a site like this and meet more women like I did back then.

I consider myself lucky that I now have a partner who, by the way, I can really stick wallpaper with, but that's about relationship growth, talking, crying, arguing, making up, giving kisses, having sex, affection, happy, not happy, etc., etc. Especially now with my rollercoaster of emotions that are sometimes not for the faint-hearted or the cat.. But sometimes justified and sometimes not.. But that's part of it.

Linda, dear strong woman, stay tough. The sun shines for you too today. Enjoy your pregnancy, the last 3 months, and give your son all the love you have. Build a future for you and your son.. And the rest will come naturally. Love will find its way to you, of course, because we humans aren't made to be alone.. If this isn't the right lid, there will be a fitting one, take my word for it.

Strength and lots of love, Ju

Oh Linda, that’s terrible to hear!!

If you’re starting out alone and you knew that beforehand, okay,
but to start together and then have to continue alone—don’t even think about it!!!
Save all your love and strength for your little man inside you!!
    Wishing you lots of strength!
Make sure at least someone trusted is by your side during your delivery; you shouldn’t have to carry that alone!!
Let me know how things go!!
(Even on the tougher days, okay!!)

    Hi,
Thanks for the kind words, it really brings tears to my eyes again. If it were just that the relationship wasn't working anymore and we both agreed to part ways, I could maybe accept it better. But in short, this is what happened; he abused my dog and stole the money I had saved for the birth announcements. So yeah, I'm still completely devastated after a week.
He often argued about my dog, saying he was annoyed by the animal and wouldn't pay attention to it anymore. Then he said he used to be nice to the dog but that it was all fake, which broke my heart. You can't trust someone like that, and the worst part is that when I came home the next day, the dog was bruised and battered. The vet confirmed my suspicions, and I didn't even have to kick him out myself because he had no more interest in this mess since everything wasn't true anyway, so he just left. It's been a week now, and I haven't heard anything from him yet. I'm very sad about it, but I have to go to the hospital tomorrow for a check-up and can share my story there too.

Oh my, what a story. Just think about it: if he does that to your dog, you wouldn’t want him around your kids either. What a sick mind, seriously :-(

    @Linda,
Just like what Sietske writes, it's not normal that he mistreated your dog.
Now the dog will soon be your child. Or you too. Don't even think about it, bah, what a nasty situation..
He should go to therapy just in case he's pathologically jealous.
I wish you lots of luck with your son, you deserve it. It's nice that you could express yourself so well in the hospital.. If anything comes up, just send a message and I'll respond..

    Oh Linda, what a story!

Someone who dares to mistreat a dog would indeed also want to show their power over a child. I would have a hard time trusting such a person or letting them be near my child.

Definitely ask for a report from the vet about this incident with your dog. Who knows, it might come in handy later.

    Hi,
Yeah, he was also just jealous of the dog. The day before, he had argued that the dog had to go, and if I didn’t do that, I’d prefer the dog over him, making me a bad mother, and oh, what would people here think. He said he’d make it really difficult for me. But I’m not scared of that because, luckily, he hasn’t acknowledged the child yet, and I do have proof from the vet—a printout and a photo of my dog. By the way, she’s a chihuahua and her name is Mika. And indeed, what if the baby cries “too much”? How would he react? That’s why I need to protect my child, myself, and my dog, and I don’t even want someone like him in my house. My home should be a safe place, and it always was. And now, luckily, it is again. I’ve put a new lock on the door, just to be safe—it gives me some peace of mind. I do cry a lot and have no energy for anything, but I force myself to do the household chores etc. because I don’t want to fall into a depression. Luckily, the weather is nice and the sun is shining!

    Hi Olivia,
We weren’t together that long, but I’d known him for 12 years already. But I never expected this either! And the baby wasn’t planned, but for me it was very welcome anyway. By the way, I still haven’t heard anything, but it’s actually better this way. At least now I can get some rest and do nice things with my girlfriend. She lives opposite me, so that’s ideal. And after every check-up at the hospital, I have a chat with a social worker to support me a bit. I already had a conversation with her this week and it was really nice. She said I was very sensible and did the right thing by not letting him acknowledge the child. It’s nice to hear that from someone who’s neutral in this situation. Since yesterday I’ve been feeling better again, and I was also worried about depression, which I mentioned at the hospital during my check-up. She said she didn’t notice any signs and that crying a lot now is completely normal, especially because of the hormones. I was glad to hear that.
    Greetings, Linda

It gives me support to read all this. I am now 4 months pregnant and have been on my own for the past 2 weeks. I'm coming to the realization that it's all suddenly up to me; choosing a name, having birth announcements made,... I definitely get inspiration here! Thanks.

What such sad stories I read here. I got pregnant by my husband during our divorce. The divorce is almost done now. We fought for 10 years for a child, and right when we're getting divorced, I get pregnant. I'm now 13 weeks pregnant and I can't believe it, it's so special and unreal. I'll be doing this alone, but I feel like some primal force has been unleashed in me, and I'm just going to do it, with so much love. I have lovely sisters and friends who support and help me, and I'm so grateful for that.
This is going to work for me???????? although I'm aware that it won't always be easy.
    Love,
