    I don't think it's a name, but an animal

Wolf is a very old Germanic name. It's been used for hundreds of years by different cultures. I know several men named Wolf, and none of them have had any issues with it. It's a beautiful name with a lovely history. People might say it's not a name because they've never heard it before, but in recent years, the name Wolf has been gaining popularity

It's one of my favorite names, and I think it suits a child well and is also great for an adult!

Beautiful and strong name! My son is called Wolf and it suits him perfectly. It takes some getting used to for some people, but that's just how it is with all names. Nobody really bats an eye at Merel, Jasmijn, or Rozemarijn, does it? I also have a flower name myself, and I don't see it as any different from less common nature names (like Raaf, Wolf, Beer). I think Wolf is nicer because it's been used for a long time; in contrast, Vlinder and Storm don't appear as much in historical records as Wolf does. Those have only really become popular in recent years, while Wolf has been going strong for a very long time. Definitely go for it!

And personally, I don't find it attractive. It falls into the category of Rover and Bink for me.
Suppose your child turns out to be a bit of a wimp, then he has such a strong name that he might not even be able to handle it (I once heard a story about a Rover who became extremely unhappy with his name, after which his parents started using his second name).
I'm in favor of choosing more neutral names that allow you to go in any direction.

But well, it's your choice. Just my two cents.

Very much a matter of taste, I think. You either find it pretty or you don't. I'm not a fan, but you hear it more and more these days.
