What a wide variety of names!

I'm going with Thije: smooth + cheerful.
I also like Fender, but Thije is even better.
Luuk is also fine, but more mainstream. And I'm a bit done with the short-short-short trend.
    Maarten: no, not my taste.
    Harmen: old-fashioned and solid.

Thanks so much for your reply!
It’s handy to know how you feel about the name sounding (you kind of get blind to it in the end).
And does a name also grow on you, which is good, although you also get a bit blind to that.
Ha, in short, quite a challenge, the names!

Thije is really nice, I used to know a lovely Thije. I also really like Luuk.
I don't like the sound of Fender. Harmen sounds too rural, and Maarten feels a bit too hockey-ish.

Don't let my opinion influence you too much, okay! (Although Flipje has the same ideas about Harmen, Maarten, Thije, and Luuk).

And indeed: quite a challenge, choosing a name!

Fender, I don't think the F is a beautiful letter. Dua falls out for me because of that hard sound at the beginning.

Maarten, does what a little poop does. I think it's a really nice name. Just nice and Dutch and also suitable for a man.

Harmen, I find it a bit old-fashioned. By the way, it's a good name for a man, in my opinion.

Thije, I don't like it at all. I find the pronunciation difficult, I tend to say taille. I don't know the name, which I think doesn't help either.

Luuk, a normal Dutch name. Also suitable for an adult man.

Hi Marlies, thanks for your reply!
It says the same thing: a name should also fit (especially) for an adult man
    We're still thinking it over!
