Wow, what a difficult boy's name!
We want a name that's unique but not weird. Especially tough and short, we find important.
What do you think of Fern? Just pronounced in a Dutch way.

Greetings, Jane

A bit weird (sorry!). I think Ferron is nicer.

    Or Ferran?

Sorry, but for me, Fern falls into the weird category. Ferran is indeed better.

    I think it's really nice!
Ferren was also on my list, or Ferre.

Nice name. I'd get used to it as a teacher.

    Strange?

Maybe uncommon but that doesn't make it strange, I think?

    I like it anyway!

It's just a matter of getting used to it for most people, since they hardly ever hear the name.

I have a little boy in my street who is called Jern.
Maybe this name is an option? I find Jern easier to pronounce than Fern.

I think Fern is such a cool, tough name!

    That's nice!

Such a beautiful name!! Love it!! One of my favorites.
Weird: no. Short and cool yes!
People are herd animals, better once no Daan Sem and Liam..... After a week they'll get used to it.

Super name! My son is named that? ???

    Nice! Just do it

I love unique names, so I really like him!

    Nice name!

I actually find it nicer than Ferran/Ferren. Which I then find a bit weird names.

In my opinion, it's a short, tough name. Not weird in Dutch, but given the increasingly international world, it wouldn't be my name. Just like Floor and Joke aren't options for us.

Beautiful. Not a 13-in-1 dozen name. Lovely and very Dutch, super tough.

    Such a lovely name!

I don't think it's weird at all since I know a boy named Fern. Maybe the name is a bit more common in Belgium since quite a few older men are named Fernand (pronounced in the French way, like all French names here), and Fern is obviously a short form of that. By the way, I also know a woman named Fern. :-D
I would pronounce the name in Dutch anyway.
And if you think it's beautiful, just go for it! :-)
