Emilie, Emmy, Mia, Kate, Bente, Lise, Hanna, or Fiene

We’re a blended family, and my partner and I have quite different tastes in names. His kids are named J.une F.ae and S.ummer M.ae. My kids are N.iels W.illem H.ein and G.uus J.oris K.ees.

Which name should we pick for our daughter? And what associations do you have with the names in the poll? Tough/old-fashioned/sweet, etc.?

My partner’s input that I’m okay with: Emilie, Emmy, Mia, and Kate.
My input that he’s okay with: Bente, Hanna, Lise, and Fiene.
But now we don’t know which name to choose. What do you think? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

    I think Emilie is beautiful! It reminds me of my own name . And you could use Emmy as a short form. Emilie also fits really well with the other names; it’s kind of in between two totally different styles.
    The rest are nice too, but Emilie is by far the best.

    Thanks for all the replies! Just a bit more info; Emilie is really pronounced as E-mie-lie, so not as Emmelie. That's why it's spelled that way.

    I think Hanna is nice. Haven't heard much about her. Kate is nice too.

    That's great, thanks for all the replies! Opinions at home are still divided. I actually have one more question. Our little girl is going to be (first name) Sofie (middle name). Sofie is the second name, named after my grandma. The third name will be a name that sounds like Fae or Mae (as a nod to her sisters). Do you have any suggestions for that? Thanks in advance!

    I'd go with Kate as the middle name. I think it fits well with Mae and Fae.
    I like Emilie the most, but not Emilie Sofie. I'd rather go with Emmy. Emmy Sofie Kate.
    Mia and Hanna are also lovely!

    I think Sofie Mae is the prettiest. Otherwise, it sounds a lot like Toffifee. ;-)
