Boy's name. What do you think?

Hi everyone,

My husband and I have been looking for a suitable boy's name for a while now. We've got Rafe on our shortlist.

I think it sounds really cool, but when I look it up online, the meaning is either very nice, like magic and messenger, or it has negative associations with evil and thievery.

What do you all think? Is Rafe cool, or is it something you shouldn't do to your child?

    Raaf sounds tough. Raf I find to be such an abbreviation of Rafaël, not beautiful.
