Boy's name

Help..
Looking for a third boy's name.
We already have a Tijn and a Niek.
We're still looking for another boy's name to go with them.
We're having a hard time deciding this time around.
Does anyone have a matching name in mind?
Right now, we're thinking of Gust, but we're not completely sold on it.
We're looking for a short and tough name.

    Difficult, right?

Tijn, Niek and Roan, Mark, Jef, Lars, Sep
Our one is called Dean but that's not very Dutch-sounding

    It's indeed difficult...
None of the names mentioned would we choose.
I think Sep is nice but my husband doesn't...
There are certainly plenty of names that fit, but we really haven't found THE name yet.
Let's wait a bit to see if more names come up; who knows, the name might be among them :-)

(namology is a hobby... sorry... it's stronger than me...)
    Just analyzing what's already there.
Niek = Nicolaas = Greek: protector of people
Tijn: Constantijn = Greek: the steadfast
(it could also be from Martijn = Latin: From Mars, god of war)

So both indeed tough names with a related origin: both Dutchified and in use for quite a long time.
Both also one syllable (or is that not a requirement?)
Maybe something in the same vein?

    Greek:
Dries - Andreas - Greek: the masculine
Siem - Simon: God has heard
(the root name Simeon is actually Hebrew)

    Or names of Hebrew origin?
Chiel or Giel: Michael: Who is like God?

    Latin:
    Rens = Laurens: the laurelled

Or Joes - Johannes: God is gracious (Hebrew / Greek)

Yes, Miss Butterfly, we've thought about that again.
Siem is also nice. But unfortunately, they're not THE names..
We'd prefer 1 syllable indeed, that looks the best to us.
Job, Jens, Jur.. are also names on our list but there's none among them that's really the one for us.
We still have a bit of time but I'm already getting the squeeze ;-)
