Dear ladies,

I have a small question.
I've been taking the Microgynon 30 pill for about 6 months now, never had any issues and always got my period on time. Now I've missed my pill for a few days (we were away for a couple of days and didn't bring the pill) and had sex with my boyfriend. Yesterday I started bleeding (dark colored) and today as well, and my urine looks red when I pee. Is this my period or something else? I'm curious if other women have experienced this before. Because I'm losing blood, I've stopped taking the pill until the bleeding stops. I have to say it's getting less, but I don't know if it's because I forgot the pill for a few days or if it's random. By the way, I was on day 10 of my pack (halfway through).

    Well, I just lost some brown blood (old blood) for a few days now, but no red blood. I do know that I’ve had a positive pregnancy test for 2 days in a row. So maybe I should test again in a few days. The ones from Action or Kruidvat aren’t that expensive anyway.

    I don’t personally know anything about the pill; I have an IUD, but I do know that if you forget to take the pill, you can get pregnant—even if it’s just for one day. My sister-in-law even got pregnant while taking the pill. I think she forgot it for a day or two.

    It could also be a "breakthrough" bleed. Your body can be completely thrown off by stopping/forgetting the pill.
