Hi everyone,

I've been lurking on various forums for a while and I have a question.

I'm on the pill but I don't take it at a precise time, sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the evening..
I've been feeling very nauseous for quite a while, dizzy, have sensitive breasts and nipples (sometimes light blue veins on my chest), get tired quickly, have an enormous craving for sushi even though I never used to like this before, etc.. I also had some mucus with a bit of pink in it last week... I was supposed to get my period on Sunday, May 8th but only had some bleeding on Wednesday, May 11th without cramps or abdominal pain and no period pain....
I had read that bleeding can be very normal because you don't have enough hcg hormone in your body yet and your brain thinks you're not pregnant, or that you have a pseudo-period..

I want to do a test on Saturday with my boyfriend but I'm afraid it will be negative despite my young age (almost 20)..
I also feel different than usual..

What do you all think?

Love,

Just take the test, then you'll know where you stand. You mention you're afraid it'll be negative—it is possible to get pregnant while on the pill, but that's not what the pill is meant to do. I assume you're taking the pill to prevent pregnancy, so why are you afraid it'll be negative? In this case, I'd rather be afraid it might be positive, especially since you're in your fertile years.

Could it be that the idea of possibly being pregnant makes you really happy, and now you're afraid of being disappointed? If you think you can provide a good, stable environment for a child, and you and your partner really want one, and you feel ready, you could just throw the pill in the trash. That would at least increase your chances of getting pregnant.

I hope the final result of the test gives you the outcome you're hoping for. Good luck.
