Still pregnant after taking the morning-after pill
FrederiqueGuest ·
Hi girls,
After a torn condom (on my ovulation day), I took the morning-after pill within 24 hours. When my period didn't show up, I started to get a bit worried. I've only been with my boyfriend for 3 months, I'm still studying, and I don't have a steady income (I'm 23). Since I usually get my period right on the dot, I got nervous. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was positive.
But how could that be?! I had taken the morning-after pill, right?! I knew it wasn't 100% reliable, but I took it within 24 hours. Long story short: panic. Abortion is not an option for me, and now that I've talked to a few more people about it, I'm sure everything will turn out fine.
But my question is: do you know if the chance of an ectopic pregnancy is really higher now? I'm quite worried about this. I hope you can help me or give me more information.
Thanks in advance!
