Ovulation test still negative

Hi everyone,

Quick question. I've been tracking my cycle for myself for a long time, and about two weeks ago I started putting everything into a calendar app. My cycle is always very regular, and I always feel my ovulation (or so I thought). But since Friday, I've been testing to see if I can detect my LH peak, but it just isn't showing up. My ovulation should be coming tomorrow, but this morning I tested with Clearblue and it was still negative (I also use Action tests because Clearblue is quite expensive). Just now, I did feel the familiar twinges of ovulation. Usually on the left, but this time on the right. It also feels good during intercourse, which makes it a bit less pleasant than usual. Am I testing too early, or is something off? This is our first round, and I was using the ovulation tests to make sure I was feeling it correctly. How long before the actual ovulation do you guys test positive? And could it be that the twinges I feel every month are the signs, but the actual ovulation happens a bit later? I'm curious to hear your experiences!

Cheers

The best time to test is around 12 PM.
Maybe it's the tests? I ordered them online.

CB says it doesn't matter when you test, as long as you haven't been to the toilet for 4 hours. I can't manage that during the day, you know! That's why I do it early in the morning. But maybe I should really try it in the afternoon after all...

Just search Google; most people say it's best to test around 12 weeks, since morning urine isn't really that good. I don't think I held it for 4 hours either.
