Thies or Ties?

I have a question, I'm already overdue but I'm really torn: should our baby be called Ties or Thies? We'd already decided on Thies for a long time, mainly because my husband finds Ties too "boers" (country bumpkin-ish) and plain. But the closer we get to the due date, the more I'm starting to think Ties sounds nicer! Who can help?

I think Ties is the most beautiful, I find Thies pretentious.

Both are really beautiful. If I had to choose, I'd go with Ties. Or Thias. I'm also more in favor of Marten, Tijs, etc., without the H. I think it feels a bit more alternative. With the H, it sounds a bit more chic :-) I don't really think the H adds much value, except with Thias, where I think it looks nicer. But whatever you choose, it remains a beautiful name.

    I'd probably go with Ties.

Ties, otherwise he'd have to say Ties with an H his whole life.

    Super cute name!

I’d go for Thies again. Purely because all the Thieses I had in class were written that way. I think you should always mention without the h. That’s how it is with names.
