Thies or Ties?

I have a question, I'm already overdue but I'm really torn: should our child be called Ties or Thies? We'd already decided on Thies for a long time, mainly because my husband finds Ties too "boers" (country bumpkin-ish) and plain. But as the due date gets closer, I'm liking Ties more and more! Who can help?
