How quickly can you get pregnant?

Hi everyone,

I'll introduce myself quickly. I'm almost 20 and really want kids. We're trying for our first baby now, and we're in round 1.

I realize I'm really focused on this... They say acupuncture can help, is that true? And who else here is into that?

How long did it take you to get pregnant after stopping the pill or whatever?

I can't think of anything else right now...

Looking forward to advice and answers

Love, xx

Over 19 months and apparently only able to get pregnant with help. Was also 20 then. Number 2 was with the right medication in a month.

'Trying hard' can backfire, but only if you really start experiencing stress. Stress suppresses the cycle.
Just stay a bit chill and don't look for a pregnancy behind every little symptom.

The best thing to do is to keep track of your cycle length for a few months right after stopping the pill. That way, it'll be easier to time things right. Also, make sure it doesn't feel like a chore It should stay fun, of course. You don't want to be dragging your husband into the bedroom with reluctance.

If you have regular cycles, an ovulation test can also help pick the right moment (you can buy those dipsticks online, they're cheaper and easy). But from what you're saying, you've just started. Most people get pregnant naturally within a year after stopping the pill and having unprotected sex. If it takes longer, you can always look into other tools like temperature tracking or tests to boost your chances.

You'll just have to let nature take its course. And as Kruimel says, take it easy.

I was also really into it and was afraid it might backfire. If you start worrying about it, it definitely causes stress. You can't exactly hold it back, right? ;-P

What I'm saying is, I was really into it, but after stopping contraception for 2 months, I was already pregnant. You can be into it, I don't think that matters, as long as it stays fun. If you don't stress about it, it'll definitely work out.

I was 18 at the end when we decided to try for a baby, but it took 19 months before it stuck. I'm now 38 weeks pregnant and 21 now hihi
I think I was probably too focused on it—thinking you're pregnant about every little thing really drives you crazy!
When we had booked a vacation and I was busy with all the preparations, it finally happened, so I went on vacation pregnant haha
