    I think Stan is nicer.

Which do you think is the 'most dignified' of the two? Regardless of whether it's common or not..

    Anybody else?
    Greetings!

I'm leaning towards Daan, but you guys choose Stan haha. I'm wondering if we should go for Daan, and then there are more

I don't find either of them very classy, they're both quite tough, but I think Daan is a bit more refined than Stan.

    haha thanks for your reply!
We don't live in the Netherlands but in Belgium, so we don't count in your tally hihi Anyway, in Belgium Daan is much less common than Stan Do you have any other boy names on your list?

Haha, okay, then you can choose Daan

Uhm, yes, but we can't decide. We don't have that wow feeling....

Pim, Mees, Sam, Daan or Ruben

I also think Sam and Ruben are beautiful, but my husband doesn't.. Pim and Mees don't really come up in Belgium..
What do you think of Sem?
I think it's nice too, but my sister-in-law's child is named that..
I also hear Finn a lot, but my husband doesn't like it either.. But Finn will be his middle name anyway :-)

What do you think of the name Stan, by the way?
  9. K00 #10

I liked Sem more than Sam, but my boyfriend likes Sam better. I think Sam is really nice for a girl, so that's why I'm hesitating.

I find Stan a mature name, less fun for a little one. But they're more adult than child, so maybe it's actually good :-)

I think Finn is also nice, but my boyfriend doesn't like the double n.

What I find tricky about Ruben is that some might say Ru-BEN while we mean Ru-BEN. But on the other hand... my name is Karen (said Kar-un, not Ka-REN), tricky, right? Haha.

Will it definitely be Daan or Stan for you guys?
Tijn is also nice, I think.

I think Sam is a nice name for both boys and girls, and at least as appealing as Stan.
Ruben is a very common, timeless name in Belgium. I can’t imagine anyone pronouncing it as Ru-BEN.

My husband loves Thijs, but I’m not so fond of it… I like Tijn better, but he doesn’t. Daan and Stan are basically the only ones we both like hearing.
He prefers Daan, and I prefer Stan… ????
  11. Anonymous Guest #12

Ah, tricky. How much longer do you have?
Thijs I also find nice, honestly, but it doesn't work with our last name.

Some people choose to give birth first and then decide on a name. Not really my thing, but maybe it works for you?

Is there already a child? Maybe Daan or San would fit better with that name?
Or if you're having another child, what would fit better with the girl's name you're considering?

    I'm Thursday 35 weeks..
    So still heeeeel ff time..
Yes the brother is called Cas. I think both names fit well..
What we both also find nice is Wannes (which is then again a typical Flemish name..)
What do you think of Wannes?
    Thanks for the tips!!
  13. Anonymous Guest #14

Well, taste is so tricky... I really don't like Wannes, it often reminds me of Wammes (we say "luiwammes" in the Netherlands).

Hmm... Then I think I'll go along with your husband, haha. Cas and Daan sound slightly nicer to me than Cas and Stan.
Good luck with it anyway! And you're almost there Let us know here?

Wammes I don't know right away.
Luiwammes is also said here but yeah if they want something to tease her about they'll always find it..
    I'll definitely let you know!!
It's indeed not long anymore so hope we'll figure it out soon or otherwise it'll be decided after birth (hopefully not :-)
