Help, we're looking for a 2nd/3rd name but can't quite figure it out!
Luckily we already have the first names

Girl: Elize
Boy: Jason

We'd like to name them after our parents, Jason Arend I think is cool. The initials J.A. are the same as my father AND are the first letters of me and my husband.. but now there's nothing from my father-in-law Please help

My parents: Marianne / Johan Arend (Nickname Hans)
His parents: Petra, Petronella / Robert Martin (Nickname Robert)

Tips?

    My first instincts.. just:

    Elize Petronella Marianne
    Jason Martin Arend

Or if you prefer something more modern:

    Elize Mare Nella

    Jason Aaron Mart

Other options if you combine the names:

    Elize Janella
    Elize Nelianne
    Elize Mariella

    Jason Artin
    Jason Arim
    Jason Marten

We just went with the first names of both grandmas as they are.
    My mom: Dymphna
    His mom: Ingrid
My husband's family name: De Vos
Our daughter: Mila Ingrid Dymphna De Vos

We chose my boyfriend's name as the middle name and my dad's and my boyfriend's dad's name as the third name, which happen to be the same. Milo Robin Antonius

Our daughter has my brother's name as her second name.
Our son is now getting the name of my other brother, and it happens to be the same name as my friend's brother's name.

Nobody thought it was weird that we only went for one name and thus didn't mention my friend's side. After all, our daughter already has their last name.
If your friend doesn't have a problem with just Arend, I wouldn't make too much of a fuss about it.....

I was named after my paternal grandparents, who had already passed away before I was born.

I've never really understood what to do with those names, honestly... They're terribly old-fashioned, and I got made fun of for them in middle school.

So, dropping the second and third names is a great option for me too.
