I think Fiene is nicer, but Lotte is nicer with Lara. Fiene and Lotte are both beautiful, cheerful Dutch names! -

Although Lotte is a well-known name, I still think it's a nice, easy, and fun name. I personally feel like Fiene sounds more like an older lady's name. It also comes across as quite rustic to me. I would just shorten it to Sharlotte myself. It feels more feminine and graceful. They can always shorten it to Lotte later on. But anyway, that's just my opinion
