Took a pregnancy test

Hi everyone,

I took a pregnancy test.
There was a very faint line visible.

Could it be positive?
Or is it still too early?

    Hi Blauweblo,

    A line is a line! So it's positive! For your peace of mind tomorrow morning, test again. Your hCG hormone doubles every 2 days, so the line should be clearer then.

    As I said, a line is a line. My first line was also very faint at first. Tested again 3 days later and I got a bright line Just do another test soon or maybe get a blood test from your GP.

    If it was within the reading time, then you're pregnant! Do you have a photo?

    Hi everyone,

    Thanks for the replies.
    Unfortunately, I don't have a photo.
    It was within the reading time, really just a very faint line........
    I took the test later in the day, maybe it's because I drank too much, which means my urine is more diluted, you know.
    I'm going to take another test now, a Sensitest, I'm curious if I'll see a line again.
    The previous test was from Action, I don't know if those are reliable.
    Somewhere inside I hope the Sensitest also shows positive........

    Hi everyone,

    Just a quick addition to the previous post:

    I should mention that I stopped taking the pill on Jan 25th because I’m trying to conceive.
    I’ve been told that I shouldn’t be able to get a faint line on a pregnancy test because I’m still coming off the pill, and the chance of being pregnant is very slim.
    And it doesn’t matter whether you test with first morning urine or at another time of day.
    So why am I seeing a very faint line now after the test I took?

    Hi everyone,

    I did a sensitive test this morning and now I have a clear line.
    I also did one yesterday afternoon and then no line.
    So now there is one, a bit weird ........

    You are definitely pregnant then go see the GP for a blood test if you're still unsure

    But you feel like you want to do another test?

    You always get a bit unsure when you have a test in your hands, so many people do another Clearblue test just to confirm. But you can assume you're pregnant! Without hCG, the test can't be positive—that's just not possible, especially not if it's this clear.

    I think you're indeed feeling insecure.....
    I still did a test last night, the HCG level was probably a bit lower, because the line was a bit fainter.
    But it's clear now

    Hi,

    Did an action test this morning.....
    Result was negative, so now I don't know what to think.
    Not even an evaporation line was visible.

    That's so frustrating, Bluebell. Maybe you should go see the doctor after all?
    I can understand how frustrating this must be when you keep getting positive tests and then a negative one!

    I’d get a Clear Blue test. It just says pregnant or not. Simple as that, and they also tell you roughly how long. Good luck and hopefully you’re just pregnant!
