Not hungry at all, never nauseous.

I'm now 17 weeks pregnant and have been feeling our baby very clearly and often since yesterday!!
Still, I'm a bit worried about the fact that I never really feel hungry,
or nauseous.
There are days when I'm fine just having cornflakes and 2 pieces of fruit.
The baby is perfectly fine and even on the larger side.
But is it normal that I've only gained one kilo?

    Olivia,

Don't worry about it. I haven't had any real cravings or hunger during the whole pregnancy either. And my baby is growing well. I only started gaining weight around 30 weeks and now it's happening all at once ;-).

    Greetings, Nicole

    Hi Olivia,

You don't need to worry about not having an appetite; that's really no problem.

Just make sure you're not getting too few nutrients. The fact that your baby is growing well is a great sign, but it doesn't mean there can't be a deficiency in something (like minerals, calcium, or something like that), because you actually need to eat a bit more than usual.

Just stick to the 'Disk of Five' and take your vitamins. That way you'll get enough and won't need to worry about anything.

Don't stress, but it's wise to take prenatal multivitamins at least when you're eating so little. That way, you and your baby get all the nutrients you need. Enjoy your pregnancy!

    Thank you so much!!
Yes, what I do try to do is make sure that what I eat is full of nutrients, drink lots of fruit juices, and eat fruit, which is going well. I also have a vitamin pill from the gynecologist.

But I'm a bit worried about stretch marks if I suddenly gain a lot of weight soon. I'm already trying to apply cream regularly. Other than that, everything is going super well without any complaints.

    Hi
I'm over 30 weeks pregnant and I've eaten about 4 slices of brown bread, a banana or other fruit, yogurt, and a small portion of dinner from 6 AM to 11 PM. So not too much either.
