Half a year of Clomid (almost) and still nothing.

Oh no, girl!
But after Clomid you can always move on to injections, and those usually work.
Don't lose hope for sure!

Injections and just ovulation induction

GnRH pump..

Injections and IUI

Injections and IVF or ICSI...

Well, Clomid is always the first step.. so I can imagine that the feeling you describe, that it's not working, feels very real, but there's still a lot more!

    Hi

Yes, I had exactly the same experience; half a year of Clomid (3 rounds at dosages of 50mg, 100mg, 150mg) and it just didn't work. You feel so miserable then.....
I switched to Puregon injections, which I was quite skeptical about, and spent over half a year looking for the right dosage. But once we got pregnant, I was pregnant!

How is your partner's sperm quality?

Don't lose hope yet, you're still at the beginning of an extensive process, there are still many options to try!! I know how you feel, and nothing anyone says can make you feel better. Try to just express those feelings, don't keep them hidden from others.

    Put it on

@sammy yes, I hope we find something soon that makes it work

@kruimel my partner's sperm is fine, certain standards were even above average so that's good with him
It's with me that my eggs apparently don't get big enough (don't grow) and besides that irregular periods.. Have to say with clomid it's now monthly regular

Nice to hear that it finally worked out for you too

Sel, good on you for having such a great man!
My man is tip-top too, and now after 8 rounds of trying, we finally got it.
Stay positive, it’s really tough, but your time will come too!

That the sperm quality is good already says a lot, which means there are many (follow-up) options. After 3 rounds of insemination and the second one where I got pregnant this time, I got pregnant on the first round.

I know it's not a miracle cure, but I used Pre-Seed during the months I got pregnant. So I'm definitely in favor of it, maybe it's worth trying.

@kruimel where can I get pre seed??

@sammy yes it's definitely tough pff but yeah don't give up
  6. kruimel #7

Pre-seed is basically just lubricant that you insert before sex using an applicator. That's all it is. You can get it at the pharmacy. I used it without ovulation tests and just during the use of (in my case) Puregon, and only during my fertile days.

    Thank you! I'll try it!!

Hey, I have exactly the same thing! Slowly growing follicles and irregular periods!
I used Clomid 3 times, it worked but unfortunately I didn't get pregnant, and now I'm using Gonal F (injections).
Maybe that's something for you! It has a similar effect to Clomid. I'm going to test by chance tonight so I hope it worked!

@sunshine how exciting!! Hope it works!! Let me know
For me, Clomid also worked, I had blood drawn for progesterone and everything was good, I had a good ovulation... But unfortunately nothing happened
I'm anxiously waiting for our appointment with the gynecologist!! It's only in late March, it feels like it's taking forever..
  10. sunshine #11

Yeah, that’s what I had too! Haha my uterine lining stayed way too thin due to the Clomid, so implantation didn’t happen. Have they suggested any other medication to you yet?
How long have you been trying?
  11. sel17 #12

@sunshine I just saw your reply now, sorry.. We've been trying for a year now and I've been on Clomid for 5 months.. I have an appointment with the gynecologist in late March. How did it eventually work out for you?

First round of Gonal F was a hit
