Eloise. A lovely feminine name that works for all ages. Ellie is a bit more old-fashioned. Eloise is often already shortened to Ellie as a nickname anyway.

    How do you pronounce that?
    Just to exaggerate: eeilooieze?

She just forgot to type a diaeresis: Eloïse is pronounced E-lo-ie-se, otherwise it would be loise, which sounds completely off.

Eloise is such a beautiful name, I think Ellie is a bit more old-fashioned. And if you name your child Eloise, you can always use Ellie as a nickname.

Totally agree with what's been said. Eloise is the most beautiful, can be shortened to Ellie.

Ellie, I kind of picture an old woman when I hear that name. I don't think it's a fresh, nice name either. Elvira, on the other hand, I do like. I'd go for Eloise, or alternatively, I'd choose Elvira instead of Ellie.
