If you're 5 days before Nod

Hi,

If you got a negative result from the Nod test 5 days before your expected period, are you definitely not pregnant? Because otherwise, wouldn't you at least see a faint line?

No, that's not necessary... Which test did you take? 5 days before your period is actually still very early to test...

I bought one cheap one from Action because I heard they’re really sensitive!

I think you'd be better off getting the ones from Kruidvat for 2.50 euros.
I heard they already detect lower hcg levels, but that's just from the stories here...
If you're going to keep testing, I'd wait until you really need to and definitely not tomorrow, since your hcg only doubles every other day...
    Wishing you lots of success!

5 days before your expected period, a negative result doesn't mean much. It could just be too early to test.

With me, the Kruidvat test was indeed faintly positive 2.5 days before my expected period, and at Action, you could barely see anything. I'm now 24 weeks pregnant.

Wow Nancy, that's awesome! Yes, I'm curious! I sometimes have little patience! Only 4 days left... Do you test with morning urine or does it not matter?

did a test that morning with morning urine, but also one in the afternoon because I couldn't believe it, and that was positive too. And I did one on NOD and a Clearblue digital.

Not much hope this month, but we'll wait and see. .. . ....always so exciting

    You still have every chance!!
I tested 2 days before my expected period and got a very faint positive with kv2v5 and Action.
Morning or evening urine didn’t make any difference for me.
5 days before my expected period, there was definitely nothing showing! Now I’m over 9 weeks along.

    Good luck!

Hmmmm!! Congratulations first of all! I don't feel anything either, just very tired today, but that happens to me more often.

I didn't feel anything either! Surprisingly, no symptoms during the round where it was supposed to be a hit

    Hope it's a hit, Sofija!

Yes, I hope so too! Like everyone else, of course, but I won't really believe it until I'm 12 weeks pregnant. Before that, it's too uncertain for me.

I didn't feel anything either, except being really tired this time. With my daughter, I had period-like pain and didn't think about pregnancy because I had just stopped the pill 28 days earlier. So, no or few symptoms don't mean anything, really. My nausea only started after about 6 weeks.

When I was pregnant for the first time (unfortunately followed by a miscarriage), I suddenly found my cappuccino much less appealing... I actually had a suspicion that something was going on. Now, 3 days before my due date, I don't feel much different—coffee still tastes fine to me! I do have a pressing feeling in my lower abdomen and some gurgly intestines, so I'm not expecting much this time around

No, I did test, but I don't think it's a hit this round! 3 days until the expected period, but well, test was negative, so yeah.

I tested negative on Tuesday, which was 4 days before my expected period. On Friday, the day my period was due, I tested light positive with the tests from 123thuistest.nl. The next day, the 2v5 from kv was much clearer. So it really doesn't say much.

I also had few symptoms; I was mostly very tired and got full quickly when eating. For some reason, I just felt like I was pregnant without any clear reason.

Well, it's only 3 days left and still blank with early tests, but it doesn't matter—next time will be better! I wish women had more than just 1 day a month to conceive!!!

I totally agree with you!! It's so frustrating to have to wait again! Good luck with it, and I hope it works out really soon!!

    Dear ladies,
My hopes were high this month too, and because I was so impatient, I took a test early. 5 days before my expected period, and it was positive (Predictor Early test) - in the morning.
Now I tested again today, 2 days before my expected period, and it showed nothing in the window.. (Clearblue) - in the afternoon.
Should I assume that unfortunately it didn't work out this month? Despite the earlier positive test?

Thanks in advance for your time,

    Lots of love, Kim

Clearblue isn't a sensitive pregnancy test... and especially not with afternoon urine. I'd only use this test if your period has really been missed. What if you get that 2-for-5 euros deal at Kruidvat and test again with morning urine?
