I'd love to hear your thoughts on the name Lona?

What do you think of the name Lona for a girl?

    Not my taste, but like all questions or names, it's always your own choice, so if you like Lona, then you should go for it.

    Thanks, mavanmi, for your opinion.
    I was actually really considering Ilona.
    But my husband isn't too keen on it.
    So I thought I'd go with Lona instead.
    But of course, we'll decide ourselves in the end.
    I just wanted to check how it sounds?
    He keeps coming back to Luna.
    Pfff, I wish it were as easy as it was with the first one.

    I don't really have a positive association with 'alone' (=alone) and loony (=weird).

    I think Lona is a cheerful, happy name that also works well for an adult woman, but at first I also thought of 'lonely'.
    Maybe Iona instead? I find that quite funny too (but it might well be heard as Ilona, maybe?)

    Lona is just lonely..alone
    And Luna is a standard dog name nowadays.

    Great, but I wouldn't choose it myself. Other options that are similar:
    Lune, Lone, Uma, Lonne

    Girls, I appreciate your opinions.
    I’ve decided to drop Lona after all.
    And yesterday, I suddenly got a really strong feeling
    after the ultrasound of our baby.
    It has to be Jasmine.

    I also think Jasmijn is beautiful, especially with your daughters' names; Yara and...? It definitely suits Yara.

    Jasmijn is beautiful!! Our daughter is named Lonne, we thought it was a cute name haha and now we're looking for a girl's name for #2. We already have the boy's name.

    Good luck finding the right name. You already have a name for #1 hihi

    Jasmijn is also on our list, but I think it’ll be Nora if we have a girl.. But the same goes for this one, I think we’ll feel completely different by then, we’ll see.

    Jasmijn is a great choice anyway!

    That's so nice!! My neighbor girl is named Lona!
    My daughter is named Lonnie, maybe a nice alternative ;-)
    Nora is also really lovely. My friends have a daughter named Noren. Also very nice!

    We already have a girl's name for the second one, but no boy's name! So difficult.
