Menstruation duration/time

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place for this...

I stopped the pill last September (2015), and my cycle has been fairly consistent from the start. Sometimes my period comes a few days earlier than expected. But after a few months, I noticed that my period often lasts longer than a week, and I’m often back in my fertile window while I’m still bleeding. Is this normal? Does it get better over time?

After stopping my contraception (the NuvaRing, by the way), the duration of my MS flares got longer and longer month after month. My gynecologist said this is normal; some women have more trouble with it than others (including me, unfortunately). But my fertile window shifted too. Do you use ovulation tests? Then you're pretty sure when your egg is released!

No, I don't use that. We want to try it this way first before we start using all sorts of 'helpful tools'.
