How quickly can you get pregnant after an early miscarriage?

Hi everyone,

I had an early miscarriage in early January. But I was actually wondering if any of you have experienced how quickly you can get pregnant again after that? I also had a miscarriage in May at 7 weeks, but then took a few months off to be safe because of my diabetes, which needed to be under control again.

    Can do, I stopped the pill. Got pregnant right away, had a miscarriage at 8 weeks (Sept 8) and then got pregnant again on Sept 28.
    Now I'm 22 weeks and 3 days pregnant.

    I had a miscarriage on December 23rd last year. The baby stopped growing at 7 weeks and 3 days, and the heartbeat had stopped... It's been 3 weeks, and I took a test last night, which was faintly positive. I tried again tonight, and it's still a faint positive line—neither lighter nor darker. I also haven't gotten my first period yet, but I heard that it doesn't have to happen. Could it still be hCG, or could I be pregnant again? I've had clear discharge for almost a week, and for a few days now, I've had headaches and fatigue.

    Lin, how intense was the MC itself? And did you start having sex again after the bleeding stopped? Did you also see a negative pregnancy test after the MC? That way you know for sure that the new test is really from a new pregnancy.

    Hi Merel,
    My miscarriage was really intense. I lost a lot of blood and clots, then had some bleeding for a week and nothing more after that. I had sex afterward, but I just took a test. I'm worried it might still be detecting hcg because the second line is really hard to see now.

    Yes, we were allowed to, well, actually we should have waited until the first period, but it wasn't necessary, so we didn't wait. One more question: could I get my period again now that the hCG is basically gone? Or does that not happen yet? This was my first miscarriage in early pregnancy.

    I got pregnant two weeks after the end of my period... how long ago was that?

    That was last Sunday, 4 weeks ago. On Dec 23 I had a miscarriage, and on Friday Dec 21 I started bleeding... I'll see how I can do that with a profile.

    mereltje, when can I test again? It's been 4 days since the hCG is gone. Last week I had a negative test. I lost the baby on Dec 23 and haven't had my period yet. I did have a lot of sharp pains in my left groin last week and a headache. I've never had a miscarriage before, so maybe someone here can help.
