Evi or Livia

The name should be sweet and a bit tough. My first idea was the name Evi. I think it sounds really nice too. Until I saw that it ranks 11th on the list of girls' names from 2015, which is a pity. Now I'm wondering if I find it too popular. I also had Livia in mind for a while and it was actually in second place until recently. It's a bit more original and has a nice sound. I don't know anymore which name I find the most beautiful and which one I'll choose...

Both are beautiful names, but I think Livia is nicer. I find it a more special name than Evi. Good luck with choosing!

Hi! We're also having the same thought: we love a beautiful name, but it's very popular. I haven't heard it around here yet, so we're going for it!

I think Livia is the prettiest. But since I know an unpleasant Evi, I'm a bit biased

    I like Livia better.

    I'm going with Livia too

    Definitely Livia!
I also have a less pleasant association with an Evi... so maybe that’s why it’s (for me) related to that!

Both are really nice. I have a weakness for short names, which is why I find Evi a bit more appealing

This article has something interesting about name popularity: http://www.vernoeming.nl/populairste-babynamen-2015
The thing is, Evi is spelled in different ways, so when you add them all up, it probably appears more often. But would there really be 3 Evies in one class?

I like both names. No preference for either. Good luck with choosing!

    Thanks for the replies!
@zomaar: good article to read, then I think it'll probably be okay how often this comes up after Evi.
I'm not quite sure yet, but it'll work out!
