Hi hi,
I'm looking for a tough boy name that fits with our daughter Juna.
I find it really hard myself.
Who, who has a suitable tough name for our upcoming baby?
Thanks in advance for thinking along.

Do we have a few on the list now, or is the name actually in there???
I'm not completely sold on any of them yet, I'd say.

I really think Juna is a lovely name. The names you mention later fall into a different category in my opinion. Namely, a bit more ordinary (sorry!). Especially the Jae / Jay / Djai names.

From the list, I find Kian and Rowan the most neutral, let's say. But I don't think there's anything as beautiful as Juna.

By the way, how do you pronounce Juna? Juu-naa or Djoe-naa?

    Jaïro!

If you pronounce it as Juuuna, I wouldn't combine it with an English name.

I actually think Kian and Rowan are quite trendy names.
So it really depends on your own taste...

    You pronounce it as Djoena.
And my partner is into those kinds of names.
He plays basketball and is half Antillean, so you're still looking in that direction a bit.
    But it remains so difficult.

You’re also welcome to have a say in the name and share your taste.

I’d be careful with those tacky names. On the Antilles this might be common, but you’re raising your child in the Netherlands, right?

Maybe Quinn is more your thing?

Jordan (or Jorden) is really a cool name. Liam and Roan are nice too.

@Marlies: Kian and Rowan could easily fall into the 'ordinary' category. I missed that part.

If your daughter's name is already pronounced with a 'dj' sound, I'd avoid that with the next child. It's a bit too much, a bit too fussy.

So maybe a mixed-race baby? In that case, names already sound different than with a very Dutch-looking child. I think Jaïro is nice (with a 'j' sound) or Quinn, which has already been mentioned, or for example Quincy. Or Duncan for the son of a basketball player.

    Otis!

It'll indeed be a lightly tanned baby if he ends up looking like his sister.

I like Liam Roan and Kian, but unfortunately, my partner doesn't like them at all....

    Tough choice, hihi

Juna is really a beautiful, original name.

Maybe one of these fits well:

    Dilano
    Romano
    Robin
    Jace
    Mica
