What do you think of the name Jysk or Jisk for a boy? I really like it, but I'm afraid of the association with that furniture store. By the way, it's pronounced as Jisk, not like the store name 'Jusk'.

    I didn't think of that store for a moment when I read this. I think it sounds pretty nice too!

    Honestly, I also thought of the ad right away, especially the Y, but who knows, maybe it won't exist anymore soon.
    I think Jisk is a nice, fresh new name.

    Honestly, I immediately thought of the store... but who cares!! If you think it's a nice name, just go with that name... I'd go for JISK.. lol!

    The name can go through. I would spell it with an i to avoid confusion.

    I immediately associated it with my girlfriend Jiska! (I also know another girl with that name). So cheerful!
    Jisk just comes across as stronger/more tomboyish to me than Jiska, which is why I think Jisk is super nice for a boy! I didn't immediately think of the store. But now that I think about it, I do know more people's names that are also the name of a store!
    But okay. Maybe that association is more pronounced/noticeable with the name Jysk because it's less common?! Anyway, I don't find it distracting!
    Do you not want that association? Then I'd go with Jisk!

    I like Jisk better than Jysk, but I immediately associate it with the store. Personally, I find that a bit less appealing. If you're still set on this name, I think adding an 'i' would be better.

    Nice, but I'd go for Jisk and not bore Jysk.

    Jisk and Jits are used as abbreviations for Jitske, a girl's name, just like Tjits(ke).
    That's my opinion then

    I also immediately thought of the store.. Maybe you can change the name a bit so you no longer hesitate (Jisko/Yesko?).
