Energy drinks during pregnancy

Nice article about sports and pregnancy. I read that you can have an energy drink during or after exercising, but aren't these drinks bad for you during pregnancy?

Energy drinks, if you mean Red Bull and stuff like that, I wouldn't drink them too much because they're never good for you. They're full of sugar, bad for your blood pressure, bad for your teeth, and in case of pregnancy, it's comparable to drinking a lot of coffee (which isn't good either).

Besides, it's basically always true that "too much" isn't good, so if you have a Red Bull once in a while, it won't hurt. But I wouldn't do it every time you go to the gym.

It has a lot of caffeine and sweeteners, so I'd definitely try to avoid it during pregnancy. You could also have some grape sugar after working out.

I think they mean more like AA drink, Extran, or Aquarius when they say energy drinks.
