Hi, I'm new here, I'm Kim.
I'm the mom of my stepson Dani, 10, and daughter Lizzy, 4.
Now I'm 21 weeks pregnant with a baby boy and we can't decide on a name.
We want a tough name that you don't hear too often and preferably doesn't end in i or y.
I think Milo is really great, what do you all think?
Or do you have any other nice ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Kim, welcome to the site!

    Mike, Kyano, Calvin,
Milo is also nice... What name do you want, honey? Has he already suggested any ideas?

    Love, Ju

    Hi Ju,
    Thanks for your ideas.
My husband likes Raf and Tije a lot.
I’m not as big of a fan; I prefer Bram, Levi, Jay...
But those names are so common now.
I do want a short name though.
For me, Milo is still at the top.
    Cheers, Kim

I think Milo is nice, do you pronounce it as 'mylo'?
  4. kim started this #5

    Hi Lexi,
I do want to say it, just Milo, not "Mylo".
    Do you already have names?
    Gr Kim

No, we're really brainstorming hard. It would be more difficult with boy names because my friend is into completely different things.
Now that we know we're expecting a second daughter, it should be easier, but everything is still up in the air.. We already had a nice idea, but my sister quickly grabbed that name for her daughter

Tough, right? I think Milo is really lovely! I also really like Milan myself...

    Greetings,
    Alexandra

    Hi Kim,
Raf and Tije are also nice, Jay is too by the way...
You should choose what you think sounds the best...
Your son will have to live with his name for the rest of his life...

Evelien's list is so long, and there are names on it that really resonate with me. Thanks for that.
I also think Milan is really nice, but you hear it too often.
I have two kids in school, and with many names, you still picture a little child...
So all short, cool names that you don't hear too often are very welcome.
And reactions to the name Milo????

My son is named "Lyam", so at least there's a Greek y in it.

    Hi Linda,
That's funny, my boyfriend also came up with this name today.
And I have to say I really like it!!!!
I've got a top 3 now: Finn, Liam (Lyam), and Milo.
    Which one is the cutest??????????????
    Love, Kim

By chance, yes. We think it's a super name and it doesn't come up often, just a bit more special than Liam. Good luck with making a choice!

Oh yeah, it is pronounced in English, just wanted to let you know

I’ve made a cute list of names in the meantime.
But my partner has a different list.
My list is: Levi (I really want this one), Milo, Stan, Jesse, Jay(den), Brent.
    My partner’s list: Mex, Finn.

Now I’d love to hear your opinion: what do you think is a cool, nice name for our baby boy?
    (New names are always welcome!)
    Love, Kim
Oh, and I also think Boaz is really beautiful.
  13. Prutske Guest #14

    Hello everyone,
we're also expecting a boy and immediately agreed on a name: it's going to be RIK
As for the rest, our list also included: Daan - Lenn - Lars
It's tough, after all, he'll have to carry it for the rest of his life
Good luck with choosing a name, and wishing everyone a beautiful baby!!
    Warm regards,
  14. Miepmiep Guest #15

    @Prutske, nice Rik!!

@Kim, I really like Jesse, Mex, and Finn!
  15. Nicole Guest #16

I think Mex is really nice. You don't hear it that often, and yet it's accessible!
  16. liena #17

You're hearing the name Lyam a lot these days.
It sounds a bit Asian to me
A friend of mine has a son named Xillian, I think that name is really unique.
And I'd never heard of it before.
  17. Kim Guest #18

I still really want Levi. And Milo is in second place. Then Jesse, Boaz, and Mex.
I think Finn is a great middle name.
    What do you all think?
Or do you have any new ideas?
    Greetings, Kim
