Pronunciation of Eve

I'm curious how you'd pronounce Eve if you saw it written like that.

I'd really like to call my daughter "Eef" but spelled differently! I was thinking of Eve or Ave.

Looking forward to your reactions.

I'm thinking of Eve pronounced as "Iev" and for Ave, maybe "Eev" (in English) or "Aavuh" or the "Avé" from Ave Maria. Anyway, I think you should mention how it's pronounced at the beginning.

I think of Eef when I hear Eve.

I'm thinking of Evuh, as in EVENTJES/EVEN, so not Eef.

I would also pronounce it as "ief"

Of course. Why would you think of an English pronunciation in the Netherlands?

Evuh. Or maybe Iev, but I don't think of the pronunciation Eef.

I think of Eve being pronounced as "IEV"... I believe it's an English name, at least I see this name often in movies... if I pronounce it purely in Dutch, it becomes "eevu", like "Eve, please wait".

I'm also thinking of "waiting a bit."
