Who has experience with the Sensi ovulation test?

Hi hi,

Unfortunately, the first round wasn't successful. We're starting to use ovulation tests now.
I ordered the Sensi dipstick. Has anyone had experience with these tests?
I have an early ovulation (based on my discharge).
When should I start testing then?

Love,

Hi Fleur, hope your period has started...
I’ve had really good experiences with Sensitest.
You can best start testing from day 8 of your cycle...

    Hi hi,

    Thanks for the reply!
I’m starting to test a bit earlier because I suspect I had an early ovulation.
For our first attempt, we started on what the calculator said would be my fertile days.
But I had some clear, stretchy mucus a few days earlier..
So just waiting now, I’m on day 6.
But you’ve had good experiences with this, right? Got pregnant using the tests too??

    Love

    hi hi,
I'm also using the sensitive ovulation tests now. Sometimes it drives me crazy though..
We're on round 2 for our first baby, had a cycle of 46 days in round 1, pff..
I'm now on day 20 of the second round. I know ovulation tests work better if you have a regular cycle, and since I don't know mine yet but was so curious when my ovulation would happen, I started anyway... Hihi
Haven't had a positive test yet unfortunately.. Every time just a very faint line but no thick line..
Just keep testing but maybe I missed it by only testing once a day who knows.. But just wait and see how hard that can be sometimes..

    Greetings

I’ve had good experiences with ovulation tests, but if the line was just as dark as the test line, I’d also do a CB ovulation test. Then I’d get a smiley face, which for me was the sign that everything was okay...

Another tip is to learn to listen to your body and get to know when you ovulate...

Yes, good clear tests! I put them up when they were rising well and then tested twice a day, and you'll find that positive one for sure.
Little tip: after a positive test, don't stop trying too quickly. Ovulation is still coming and your egg is still fertilizable for a while. After 9 months, I got pregnant in my early 30s, so I can't complain!
    Good luck!

    Hi,

We're in round 1 for our first baby. Last month we were just having fun, but halfway through the month we stopped using contraception because I thought I'd already ovulated by then. But maybe I ovulated early after all? I do have a regular 29-day cycle though. Stopped the pill in September. @Berta, I'm also testing twice a day, just started today, so this is day 6 if I count from the first day of my period. So just waiting to see, haha.

@Mas, how exciting! How long have you been testing for?
  7. Mas #8

I've used 8 tests now, started on day 12... I skipped once last Friday, wanted to test every other day because I might have a 46-day cycle again and then I'd have to use a whole lot of tests.. But anyway, I decided to do it every day this month because I'd be so relieved if I find my ovulation.. You drive yourself crazy sometimes when you see those negative tests and think... Will it come? Or did I miss it? Pff..

It's exciting for you too!!! Good luck!
It's a really nice time though.

I once missed a cycle too, because I thought I knew roughly when my egg was. Then I was overdue but got a negative test, so I started again the next round.
In principle, you only need to test twice if you see a faint line starting to appear. If it's completely white, I don't think it's really worth it.
Long cycles are such a bummer. I was around day 23 this time. It makes you feel unsure and often disappointed.
  9. Mas #10

Yeah, that's really frustrating, but maybe it's taking so long because I haven't been off the pill for that long.. Since October 26th. We'll see.
My tests have never been completely white, every day a faint line, sometimes a bit clearer than the other, which makes it so hard.. Sometimes I think okay from now on every other day until the line really starts to show up, but then on that day the line is quite pink again and I think hmm maybe I'll test again tomorrow. Hahaha.. You're making it hard on yourself, aren't you.. I'm just going to keep testing this month and see what happens.. And you? Are you pregnant now or..?
  10. Mas #11

Oh sorry, just read that you're pregnant. Congratulations! And 9 months is indeed neat. Enjoy it now!
  11. Betty #12

Makes sense that you're testing then. Otherwise, you'll indeed keep wondering if you missed it.
I had the feeling that after years on the pill, my body needed to get used to regulating its own hormones.
Yes, after about 9 months and around 11 rounds of intense testing (with a couple of breaks), I finally got a clear positive. Darker than the control line. Perfect timing for my vacation
I didn't dare to use a pregnancy test at first, especially since it was quite early, so I used an ovulation test instead, which was positive. After 3 consecutive positive ovulation tests, I finally felt brave enough to use a real pregnancy test, and yes, positive! I'm 18 weeks pregnant now.
Good luck, ladies, hopefully, you won't have to wait too long.
  12. @mber #13

@Bertha that's super for you! Congratulations!

@Mas, that's so frustrating that you have such an uncertain, long cycle! I can see why that makes you feel unsure! I was actually already on a regular cycle right after stopping the pill... But yeah, who knows. Maybe I don't even ovulate. Just waiting, waiting, waiting... pffff
  13. Mas #14

Yes, Bertha, it's always so exciting to take a test, right! But it's nice for you, enjoy it now

@Amber, it's great if you get a regular cycle right away... I hope mine becomes more regular too... Or if it's the same as last month, at least you know where you stand and when you can test. But well, 46 days isn't very nice either, hahaha, but better than not getting your period or having an 80-day cycle... That sounds pretty unpleasant to me too...

@Mas, absolutely! But I think all the ladies who are trying to get pregnant have it tough! The stress, waiting, waiting, waiting... But it could always be worse!
  15. Mas #16

Yes, you're right! We all just need to be patient, no matter how difficult that is..
  16. Anonymous Guest #17

Yes, unfortunately, but good luck anyway!! -

    Thank you, you too!!
