Pregnant after mk?

Hi, during my first pregnancy I was nearly 11 weeks pregnant when it went wrong. We’d already had an ultrasound etc., so it was quite a shock for us but my wish to become pregnant/mother somehow grew even stronger despite the grief. Now we’ve had 2 miscarriages and after lots of tests they suspect my husband’s sperm was just too weak, which is why the embryos were rejected. My first miscarriage was in June and in October I was pregnant again, but only for a short time. After that, no more natural pregnancies, only via IVF/ICSI, and now I’m finally a mom. And those doubts you’re talking about, I actually had them towards the end of my pregnancy Can I really raise a child? How will it work later with less income (working fewer hours) etc etc pure panic, but I was already nearly 35 weeks at that point, so it was a bit late to have doubts lol
I think it’s just part of it. Why are you so afraid of the “crazy mill”? From my own experience, it seems like it would be so frustrating in the long run if your dearest wish doesn’t come true.

    Hi Chantie,

Geez, you didn't have it easy either! So glad you were able to get pregnant after all! What you're describing, that's actually something I'm sometimes scared of too! The reason I didn't want to go down the "crazy merry-go-round" route is basically because I was terrified that nothing would come of it. Stupid, ostrich-like behavior, I know it! For me, hope was more important (and with it, the disappointment) than living with the thought that it would never work out! Because I really had that for a long time, so weird and hard to explain. We went to visit my niece's newborn baby tonight, a week old, which was amazing! I couldn't take my eyes off it! I'm just really insecure (even though people never expect that of me) and doubtful about everything! I work in psychiatry, but sometimes I'm just as unstable myself! Haha! I like to have control, which you can't always have, and I find that difficult! How old is your baby? Awesome!!

    Love, Anne

I was terrified to go into the "crazy mill" (IVF), but in the end, I got even more scared of the idea that I was getting older and if I didn't take any steps, I might never have a baby. And super cliché, but looking back, it was all worth it. Our girl is now 6 months old and being a mom is truly amazing :-) And what you say, I can relate to! I'm also quite a control freak :-) For someone else, you know exactly what they should do, but for yourself..... I'm also really good at overthinking hihihi, but you just don't have any control over it once you're in the "crazy mill."
