I think this name is just a matter of getting used to it. My first reaction is the word "tam," which doesn't have a negative meaning per se, but feels a bit strange for a person.

After a while, I expect the name will sink in nicely.

Makes me think of the word tam too. And also of the old toy: Tamagotchi haha. As a name, I think it's really cute.

Thanks for the replies! I'm almost 33 weeks pregnant now, but we still don't have a boy's name!

Well, if you and your partner like the name, I'd just go for it, regardless of what others think. A name like any other is also so-so. With Tammo, you at least know stronger that you wouldn't easily give him to someone else. Again, it's not my thing, but it's not mine either. There should be a difference, that's actually nice. Nowadays, every "unique" name

    Anything else, Timmo?

What kind of names do you like? I get the impression that you don't really know what you like yet, and time is starting to run out. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm happy to suggest some other names if you'd like.

Tammo ooh, a bit of an adjustment as I already said, but really unique! I actually love "rare" unique names! Lovely!

Shouldn't Tammo not be in Groningen? Tammo is a word there for a slightly stupid person.

I love separate/unique names... But Tammo?!
I don't get an immediate "wow" feeling
