Well ladies, I just got a call from my MIL and my values aren't good, so I'm allowed to go to the gyn! Yippee! How nice! But well... I can still cope with it.

    hey kimjoy
no worries, you're being followed up really well.
and it's not like you can't eat anything at all.
I could still eat fries and chips (just not overdo it) besides, I could eat everything without sugar and anything with artificial sweeteners. only fruit had some restrictions. like grapes and watermelon, they have too much sugar. oh well, summer is almost over then it'll get easier because if you're sitting on a terrace or going into the city it's not so easy to be conscious about your diet
    greetings liena

@Lena, thank you so much! And oh well, I'll just let it wash over me!

I also heard about gestational diabetes yesterday. I'm struggling with being overweight.

I was also told I’d have gestational diabetes and have a big baby according to the ultrasounds and the OB-GYN. I gave birth to a healthy son in August 2012, weighing a nice 3670 grams and measuring 50 cm. All that worry for nothing! I even sent my mom to the store first for baby clothes because I had prepared myself for a big baby based on all that hospital talk.

Now I know for my next pregnancy that I shouldn’t focus too much on the growth measurements from the ultrasounds and just let things come to me naturally.

At my place, they've been saying from 20 weeks that the little one is a week ahead in growth... but I'm not coming up as extreme, so I haven't been tested for gestational diabetes...
And regarding food.. I'm really a sweet tooth... even before my pregnancy.. but it's because I really always eat exactly what I need, and then I sometimes have a little low moment, and yeah, then I might indulge in some sweets hihihi.. or just eat fruit..
But that should be okay too. It depends on your body whether it produces enough insulin.. some bodies make insulin too slowly or too quickly.. and now during pregnancy, that can be influenced by the pregnancy hormone..

Linda, indeed, don't focus too much on the ultrasounds. They keep telling me that she's a week ahead and has long legs... I still have a few size 50 clothes in the closet... because soon our little one will just be 48 cm in length hihi, you can't know that beforehand. I also have plenty of size 56, and I'll buy the rest once the little one is here and will receive a lot too. Our little one will have two godmothers who love shopping
