Hi,

Which name do you think sounds nicer, Anna or Eva?
My son is named Daan.

I'm curious which one you think sounds better and why

I think Daan and Eva are more beautiful.

Eva or Evie is also nice

I like both names, but Daan and Eva sound a bit smoother than Daan and Anna (too many A's).

    I'm with Hummel.

    Thanks for the comments
Eva is currently also at number 1, but Anna is really coming up close.
We’d like to name after the grandmothers (their baptismal names), and that’s easier with Anna.
The baptismal names are: Maria Anna and Cornelia

What would you choose? Daan and:

    Eva Maria Anna Cornelia

    or

    Anna Maria Cornelia

    Eva Maria Anna Cornelia

I think Anna is a prettier name than Eva. I'd follow my gut.

I think both are really lovely names! They both go well with Daan! I don't mind that there are so many a's in them.
As a baptismal name, I like Anna Maria Cornelia better. Eva Anna Maria Cornelia feels a bit too much to me.

My daughter also has four names.

I know a Daan and Eva, super cute combo :-)

I like 4 names, but I don't really like Eva Anna Maria Cornelia together. They all end in -a. And I like it when the first name is also a middle name, so I'm going with Anna.

    Eva

I also think Anna Maria Cornelia sounds better than 4 names,
but Eva has just a bit more preference as a first name, so lasting :-) ..
Has anyone ever experienced any hassle with 4 names?
It is indeed quite a lot with 4 names.

    Thanks for your input.

By the way, I'm the topic starter, but I'm posting from another PC.

    Another option could be:

    Eva Marianne Cornelia

Do you think that's better than Eva Maria Anna Cornelia?
  15. ii Guest #16

I don't think four names is a problem. Here in the south, that's very common. Even five or six names.

The variation with Marianne is also fine; not better or worse, in my opinion.

I think Eva is prettier; it was my second choice for a girl's name in my last pregnancy. But I find Eva Maria less appealing. It reminds me of Ave Maria. So very personal. Anna is also a nice name, but I happen to know a really annoying Anna haha
  17. flipje #18

Eva Marianne variant, I find that quite nice too, by the way.
  18. Linda #19

Or Marianna, could also work as a middle name? The 3 a's at the end don't bother me.

I think Marianne sounds a bit long with Eva, which is why I'm hesitating.
But on the other hand, you never really say the 2nd/3rd name anymore anyway.

I find Eva Maria Anna Cornelia a bit too many names.

Anna Maria Cornelia sounds the nicest in terms of naming, but I think Eva is slightly nicer as a first name.

    Tough choice haha
