Getting pregnant through a fertility treatment

Hi!! My girlfriend and I signed up at Rijnstate Arnhem for a fertility treatment a year ago. 4 weeks ago we finally had our first consultation. After an internal ultrasound, blood tests, and lots of questions, we're now on the waiting list which lasts another 12 months according to them. Now we got a letter saying we're on the waiting list but first the preliminary tests will be done. Does anyone know what those tests involve? Anyone has experience with fertility treatment? Greetings Kim

Hi, my girlfriend and I have also just started this journey. We're currently on the waiting list for the first appointment.

Prenatal checks vary a lot from hospital to hospital. I switched from Rijnstate (yes, my wife and I were registered there too) because of the long waiting times and a lot of mistakes. Now I'm at Baar Nij Geertgen. Within 4 weeks I could come for an appointment, then after 3 weeks for a talk with the psychologist, and within 6 months I could already start with the first treatment... Our prenatal checks included blood tests to look for diseases like HIV, etc., and an ultrasound to check for PCOS or other abnormalities... and a talk with the psychologist to see if you can handle the whole process... but that really differs from clinic to clinic in my opinion.
