Question about ovulation test

Good afternoon ladies,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Ellen and I'm 27 years old.
We've been trying to get pregnant for a few months now, currently on our 4th attempt. I don't have regular periods, but in previous months my ovulation was always around day 11 to 14. However, this month I'm already on day 20 and the test, a digital Clearblue, you know, the smiley system, still shows a negative symbol. I've read that you shouldn't do this, but I've taken the test stick out a little bit in the last few days after testing, and there's already a faint line and the control line for several days. Does a digital test also work with the 2 lines that need to become equally dark, or does this work differently? The lines also disappear after a few hours, so it's hard to compare days later.

Greetings, Ellen V.

    Hi Ellen,

I'd just trust the smile because those lines on a digital Clearblue don't mean anything...
Maybe you'll get it a bit later this month...
Test again for a bit it'll definitely give a smile today or tomorrow

    Hi Sas,

So those lines don't work like a regular, simple ovulation test?
I know, I have to wait for the smiley I'm a bit impatient!!

    Cheers, Ellen

I’ve also looked at it once in, say, a digital pregnancy test... it was negative, but there were still 2 lines
Yeah, it takes so long before you finally see that smile
