Boy's name

Hi everyone,

What a disaster this is, seriously......... choosing a name.
I always thought I’d know the moment I got pregnant, but unfortunately not.

At first, we were completely decided: the name would be Caiden.
But then a friend of mine gave birth last month.......... and you guessed it, their beautiful baby boy is called: Kaiden.

So that meant brainstorming again, and in the end, we both agreed on the new name: Jace!
But then my partner went to visit his family for a day, and somehow three people told him:
"I think Jace is really a nice name for you guys." Now we both feel like, hmm, we actually don't like it that much. We really want to keep it a surprise and keep the family in the dark.

Now we have a huge list of boy names, but for some reason we just can't decide anymore. The middle names will be: Matheo Doran and the little man's last name will be Cornelissen.

I'll put some names from our huge list here, I'd love your feedback, what do you like?
Or do you have any other ideas, everything is welcome at the moment.

We don't want long names or names that are hard to pronounce/spell.

All tips are welcome

Love, Joyce (and Nick)

The names

Milan - Jayson - Kian/Kyan - Djayden
Milano - Dylan - Kay - Kiano - Jacen
Dylano - Gyano - Danilo - Dante
Gianni - Devin - Silvan/Silvano - Elias
Mauro - Kyran - Dyano - Aiden
Roan - Jaycen - Milai - Nolan
Quin - Rayen - Calvin - Deano
Kiran - Dean - Joëll - Jaro
Kylano - Kenzo - Ilan - Luca
Dyon - Kane - Milo - Tygo
Rens - Jay - Nate - Kenzo
Noël - Rico - Zion - Joey
Neyo - Miles - Mason - Kyon
Kaleo - Brody - Darius - Jairo

As you can see.............. way too many names, and we just can't decide anymore HELP

I’d go with: Dante, Milan, Nolan, Quin, Elias, Aiden, Kian, Kiran, Ilan, Milo, Silvan, Jaro, Rens, Noël, Tygo or Darius.

I don’t mean to offend you, but I find a lot of the other names quite ordinary, especially those with a Y in them. Plus, you’re currently bombarded with names containing a Y.

Mason means mason, so it’s a profession; it’s also a surname, which is why I wouldn’t choose it as a first name.

Dean means Dean, which is also a profession, so I wouldn’t pick it as a first name either.

Joey is the English equivalent of 'Jantje'; it’s a short form of Joe or John. So even if your kid is 80, he’d still be called Jantje, and whether you’d want that...

    Good luck with choosing!

Zion is associated with the Order of Zion / a Jewish meaning that could cause issues if your son ever wants to visit an Islamic country.

Oh, and first names ending in -en don't really go well with the baby's last name, because of the rhyming sound in CornelissEN

I'm also going for the names you choose. I think Luca fits well with the baptismal names.

    Hi hi,

Thanks in advance for the replies!

No worries, you're not insulting me, hehe.
Everyone has the right to their own opinion, and to be honest, I was doubting it myself too.
It's true that nowadays there are an awful lot of names with a Y.
I knew about Mason and Dean, but I didn't know about Joey.

    Thanks for the feedback, ladies!

    Love,
    Joyce

    I agree with ii(guest).
I personally think the names Nolan, Quin, Elias, Aiden, Silvan and Noël are very beautiful!
    Good luck with your choice!

So that's a lot of names haha. There are so many that I think you really should decide for yourselves? A name is so personal and you'll be carrying it for the rest of your lives as parents. Everyone will have a different opinion about a name; what one person finds beautiful, another might not. Fortunately, that's the case, otherwise the whole world would look the same. But personally, I don't think you should pick a name just because someone else finds it beautiful. It's about what you find beautiful, right? Good luck!

Darius, of course, was the king of Babylon.

Otherwise, Dante, Kiran, Ilan, Milo, Silvan, or Noël. Noël is really only if the baby is born at Christmas.
