Anyone have ideas?

Hi everyone,

I've learned a lot from this forum, but I still have a question:

I'm pregnant with twins! We're having two girls! Super exciting, of course, but it's really hard to find names. We already have a two-year-old daughter, Malú Frederique (nickname Malú). Maybe you have some ideas for names that go well with Malú.

We have quite broad taste, but we absolutely don't like names with a Y in them. So a name like Jaylinn is out of the question right away.

We also like names like Sofia, Julot, Lune, Mare, and Jente. If I think of any other names, I'll let you know.

Just to give you an idea: let's say the girls look like Malú, with light brown curly hair and brown eyes. We're fully Dutch, though. We live in the middle of the country. Both my husband and I are (travel) journalists, so we love traveling, but we're also very much at home with Malú. We only go away during holidays.

That's about it. Ideas are very welcome. Thanks in advance!

I think Mare is really beautiful!
But it sounds a bit like Malu, which is tricky.
Besides that, I think Lune is also very beautiful or Luna.

I know a pair of twin girls who are named Femke and Fleur, but that's a whole different thing.
Good luck and hopefully you'll find the right choice.

    Hi! The list is updated:
So far: Jente, Sofia, Ninthe, Niene, Nika
We already have the middle names:
    ....... Josefien (after grandma Josien)
    ....... Madelief (after grandma Lieve)
And Malú's middle name is Frederique, so they all have an 'i' sound. Frederique is also a namesake.

Other names are still welcome, we haven't decided yet...

Sofia and Jente are super names! Ninthe is also nice, but I find Jinthe prettier. I don't think Niene is so pretty. Nika either.

In my area, the name Jente comes up, but for boys.
So I thought it was a boy's name too...

Personally, I think Nina Josefien and Tara Madelief sound nice.

Julot and Lune! So beautiful, and they all have a U in their name!
  14. ii Guest #15

Miep, there are male Jentes and female Jenthes as far as my experience goes.

Fenna and Thom, if I look at all the answers above, I come up with the following combinations:

    Mara/Ninthe/Linde/Riva/Luna/Mette/Zara/Hannah Josefien

    and

    Philou/Jonna/Femke/Xanthe/Tara Madelief

I’d be careful with Ana. Pro-Ana is the abbreviation for websites that promote self-starvation (due to the disorder: anorexia, from which the term Ana is derived). And you really don’t want that.
  19. Emme Guest #20

Indeed. You're absolutely right; the intention was to write Anna.
Maybe Vive is a good option?
